"Go and rebuild my house which, as you see, has fallen into ruin."
- St. Francis of Assisi's apparition
Recent scandals in the church have caused much suffering. Looking back to the past, no effort to beg pardon and to seek to repair the harm done will ever be sufficient. Looking ahead to the future, no effort must be spared to create a culture able to prevent such situations from happening again or preventing the possibility of their being covered up and perpetuated.*
Many changes have been made over the past several years to protect our youth and vunerable adults. Here at Our Lady of the Rosary, we have spared no effort or expense to make sure all adults who work with minors and/or vunerable adults in any capacity have received a level 2 background check and safe environment training. These include all clergy, staff, and volunteers.
We will continue to provide this high level of scrutiny in addition to any improved methods that become available to our society in the future in order to rebuild your faith and trust and hope in Jesus' promise, "And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not overcome it." - Matthew 16:18
“If one member suffers, all suffer together with it” (1 Cor 12:26)
